We cordially invite you to the final gathering of the fifth year of the mentoring programme. This event is intended for doctoral students and academic/research staff who wish to connect, share experiences, and enjoy a pleasant afternoon together.

The meeting will also include a workshop How to Network led by Mgr. Dita Palaščáková (UPOL).

Would you like to feel more confident meeting people across different fields? Build connections that can support your academic path, research projects, or career development? Or simply learn how to start a conversation when it does not always come easily? In this workshop, you will gain practical tips and small tricks for effective networking and building professional relationships. Come and get inspired, have fun, make new connections, and end the semester with a smile.

The Language Centre cordially invites you to the seminar "Listening comprehension, reading, speaking and writing in Czech B1".

When: June 16, 2025, 12:00–13:30

Lecturers: Mgr. Radka Švadláková, Ph.D. and Mgr. Kateřina Kubanová

Participants will assess their current level of Czech language proficiency in all language skills (listening, speaking, reading comprehension, writing). They will also become familiar with the format of the B1 exam. The language of instruction is Czech.

We cordially invite you to the workshop "AI Intermediate - Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching", organized as a part of the mentoring programme of the 51�Թ��.

Lecturer: JUDr. Mgr. Michal Urban, Ph.D., Faculty Coordinator for Innovation in Studies at the Faculty of Law, Charles University.

Registration Form: AI Intermediate: Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching

This module will be held in English and it is designed for educators with intermediate to advanced experience with AI. The course is intended for university lecturers who want to effectively integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching and use it to prepare and deliver lessons. Participants will become familiar with practical tools such as chatbots (e.g., ChatGPT), translators (e.g., DeepL), selected MS Office features (Word, PowerPoint), and other tools and applications that can facilitate and enrich the teaching process.

The course is interactive – participants will have the opportunity to try out the various tools on their own devices and discuss the possibilities of their use in their teaching practice, including the ethical aspects of using AI. The course will also demonstrate specific ways to use each tool. It is recommended to bring your own laptop or tablet with internet access.

Module 1: Master the art of scientific storytelling with practical lessons.

We would like to invite you to the "A PhD student's guide to the publishing galaxy" Workshop, organized as a part of the mentoring programme of the 51�Թ��.

Two librarians will try to guide you through the process of publishing an article. From journal selection, through tools to simplify writing, formatting, citation, and proofreading, towards submission for peer review and acceptance.

But the mission doesn't end with the published article. Want to show it off and get it on ResearchGate? You can. Want to report it in OBD? You must. We'll show you how to handle different versions of your article.

Also look forward to decoding ciphers like decile, quartile, token, ORCID, OBD, APC, hybrid, gold, WoS, FORD, and AIS.
